[On_site_list] Lab Community Invited to Today's United Way Kickoff Picnic & Raffle

The annual Jefferson Lab pledge campaign for the United Way of the 
Virginia Peninsula kicks off today (Wednesday, Oct. 8), with a 
fundraiser picnic in the CEBAF Center lobby, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.


Donations will be accepted for hot dogs, hamburgers, soda and chips. The 
picnic food is being donated by the Quark Cafe contractor, Eurest, and 
will be served by members of lab management.  A donation of $1 per 
picnic menu item is requested.


Quark Cafe will remain open for those who do not wish to participate or 
would prefer to purchase additional menu items.


In the CEBAF Center lobby during today's picnic, and from 12-1 p.m. 
Monday - Friday through Oct. 29, Human Resources will be selling $1 
raffle tickets for chances to win one of three items: an Apple iPad or 
one of two Apple iPad Minis. Buy five tickets and get a sixth ticket for 
free.


All proceeds from the raffle ticket sales and food donations will go to 
the United Way.


The winning tickets will be announced at the Jefferson Lab Activities 
Group (JAG) Fall Festival on Oct. 29.


The pledge form is available with the full United Way kickoff campaign 
memo (link below). Paper copies are at the Support Service Center (#28), 
Technology and Engineering Development building (#55), Machine Control 
Center (#85) and CEBAF Center (#12) front desks. Return forms to Joshua 
Cameron <mailto:jcameron at jlab.org>in Human Resources by Monday, Nov. 3, 
2014.
