JLab Free Sentara Optima Health Screenings Today - Walk-ins Welcome 

The Optima Health staff offering the free and confidential health screenings at Jefferson Lab today will accept walk-ins as time permits between the already-scheduled appointments. Walk-in screenings will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The 10-minute screenings will take place in CEBAF Center, room F113. 

This free service is open to Jefferson Lab employees, as well as users and subcontractors. The tests that will be done include: a blood pressure check, a cholesterol finger stick, and a body mass index study. These tests will take approximately 10 minutes, and the nurses providing the services will discuss the results with the participants. There is no prep required for the screenings. At this screening, you will learn more about blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes risk, Body Mass Index, tobacco cessation, and the benefits of regular physical activity.
