Reminder: The Jefferson Lab landline telephone system goes down at 5
p.m. today (Thurs., April 7), for maintenance. It is expected that
lab landline phones will be offline for no more than 30 minutes.
During this time, no calls may be made onsite or offsite and no dial
tone will be available on lab landline phones.

JLab cell phones and pagers and personal cell phone service won't be
impacted by the maintenance work.

To report an emergency at JLab during this time:
-- Use a JLab cell phone or a personal cell phone to call 911. Then
immediately call the JLab Security cell phone at 757-342-9868 to let
them know 911 has been called. Advise Security of the nature and
location of the emergency.
-- Or activate the closest fire alarm box. Follow this by calling
Security at 342-9868 to advise them of the situation.

Evacuate the building and gather at the muster point if the
situation requires evacuation. As long as it is safe to do so and if
the situation warrants, coordinate with Security officers to help
get emergency responders to the necessary location (i.e. hold doors
or direct ambulance to speed medical assistance to injured
individuals).
