<b>JLab: Ready, Set, Go! to the May 11, 2011 Run-A-Round</b><br>
<br>
Dust off those running shoes and save the date! The 26th annual
Jefferson Lab Activities Group Run-A-Round event will be held
Wednesday, May 11, from 3 - 6 p.m. JLab staff, users, students,
full-time contractors and immediate family members are invited to
participate. Staff and users that participate in the run or that
volunteer can receive a free 2011 JLab T-shirt.<br>
<br>
The event will begin in front of CEBAF Center at 3 p.m. with the
debut of the 2011 T-shirt. The run/walk will start promptly at 3:15
p.m.; please note this start time differs from years past. The run
will cover a 2.2 kilometer (~1.36 mile) course.<br>
<br>
Food and beverages, music and the awards presentations will follow
the race. Awards will go to the top three male and female finishers
in each age group and to the top three overall fastest male and
female finishers.<br>

<b>Register For Run-A-Round By May 10</b><br>
Online registration is open on the JAG webpage at:

All runners and walkers must register to be eligible for prizes.
Online registration is open through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10.
Register your family members who are planning to participate so
adequate refreshments can be planned. <br>
<br>
All participants must pick up their race bibs on Wednesday, May 11
between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the CEBAF Center lobby.<br>
<br>
Late registration also will be from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on
Wednesday, May 11 in the CEBAF Center lobby. However, individuals
registering the day of the race won't be eligible for awards.<br>
<br>
Staff and users may turn in their race bib at the T-shirt
Distribution Tent after the race to get their free 2011 JLab
T-shirt.<br>
<br>
<b>Help Make Event a Success: Volunteer Just One Hour of Your Time</b><br>
<br>
The success of this event depends heavily on participation and
volunteer support. Volunteering is a great way to meet new faces,
catch up with colleagues and co-workers and enjoy the afternoon.
Volunteers will receive a free 2011 JLab T-shirt.<br>
<br>
Nearly 70 volunteer opportunities need to be filled. Volunteer
sign-up is available on the JAG webpage at:

Volunteer help is needed before, during and after the event in a
variety of areas:<br>
-- Food preparation and set up before the event.<br>
-- Staff the late registration and bib distribution tables the day
of the event.<br>
-- Water stations, course and finish line monitors.<br>
-- T-shirt distribution.<br>
-- Staffing food and beverage tents before and during event.<br>
-- Breakdown after the event.<br>

A brief volunteer meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 10 at 3 p.m.
