With today’s precipitation and rapidly dropping temperatures,
Jefferson Lab facilities management staff warns that wet surfaces
will likely be icy on Tuesday morning. Facilities management staff
will carry out any needed de-icing work beginning at 6 a.m. Tuesday,
Jan. 7.

To give the chemicals time to work, lab management asks that only
those workers who must arrive before 7 a.m. – do so. Everyone else
is asked to arrive at the lab after 7 a.m.

Please be aware that precipitation and wet pavement will likely
cause patches of ice and black ice – on roads, parking lots,
sidewalks and outdoor stairways – at Jefferson Lab and across the
region. Please use caution when walking and driving.

If you observe an untreated area after 7 a.m. which requires
de-icing, call ext. 7400 to report it.

This message is being sent on behalf of the Jefferson Lab
Emergency Management Team and Facilities Management and Logistics.
