What this means to Project SOTRs, SMEs, Tech Leads, etc....

When Inventory receives parts the following information will be obtained from the PACKING LIST:
PART NAME (or from drawing)
PART NUMBER
PART REVISION
SERIAL NUMBERS

If the above information is not on the packing slip or the packing slip is missing then the Purchase Order will used to track down the responsible person(s) to obtain required information.

Subject: [Pansophy] Part Revision Tracking

Hi,

I would like to make an E-Log post with the following information:

During January and February 2020, I worked on implementing changes to the SRF Inventory System (PRIMeS) to record and follow the revision of parts. The changes required to track part revision included adding a "PartRev" column to 3 database tables, 2 in PRIMeS, and 1 in Travelers.

The implementation also required the modification of the Receiving, Moving, and Issuing webpages and support files, including label printing and Traveler generation (7 files), and an additional 8 files that provide reporting functionality.

I coordinated with Valerie and Megan to add the part revision to the standard INV traveler. This functionality has also been successfully implemented.

Let me know if there is anything that I should change / add / omit. Also, any suggestions on who should / should not be on the email list?

Thanks,

Mike Dickey
