Naeem
No concern for RF, we just need access of two feedthrough which are outside the tank.

Hi Kurt,

Let's think about the overall length. The shell will need to be machined in order to fit between the dishes; what is the original length of the shell, and does this represent the largest acceptable distance between the dishes? Or are there also weld preps which would further decrease the maximum length? This will will set the upper bound for the overall cavity length. The lower bound is a bit tougher as it would just be a matter of cutting the HVs down to size until they fit. Is there a maximum length that can be taken off the HV shells to make them fit? If so, then that would be the lower bound.

Pashupati, for RF purposes, is there a minimum overall cavity length (minus the end groups) which would be a cause for concern? The cavities should have passed RF incoming inspection by this stage

Thanks,
Naeem

Pashupati,

I edited your traveler to add traveler tolerances for the end flange counter bores. I also suggested an overall cavity length traveler tolerance. This one may need others to weigh in.

This should help a lot to reduce NCR's. A good thing! Thank you

Kurt
