Travelers Duo,
It looks like Gary's Weld travelers for SNSPPU are fairly high priority.
See the string of emails below.
Thanks!

Hi Valerie

I did further checking , and John Fischer confirmed that these travelers would in fact be fairly high on the priority list for the SNSPPU Project .

>From Tony’s point of view our order of priority for the projects is C75 and P1, followed by SNS, HE and so on

So when you get back to SNSPPU Project again – could you put these travelers fairly high on your list for the SNS PPU

The inspection would be done by Jenord (the weld inspector, not by the CMM group)

Thanks Anne

Hi Anne,

These are urgent. That's why I created them immediately. They are used to inspect PPU corrguated hoses and He Outlet Bellows and Con Bellows made by Hyspan.

Lately, as you may have heard, a subcontractor reported weld quality issues with Hyspan's hoses that they bought. PPU team then decides to inspect the hoses and bellows made by Hyspan, delivered to JLab, right away to size the problem. Jenord has done his initial evaluation and found some hoses having weld issues. We need the travelers for Jenord to use to document whatever results he concludes. Should there be NCR(s), we will go through the process to take care of them.

Thanks,
Gary

Hi Gary

We are trying to figure our priorities for travelers and other work (cannot do everything at once) – when will the parts be used where these travelers are required ?

Can you tell me what parts this weld inspection applies to ?

Thanks Anne

Hi Anne,

These travelers are used to inspect welds done by vendors on parts already delivered to us.

Thanks,

Gary

Hi Gary – Could you tell me when the welding you mention in these travelers will start ?

Which component is being welded ?

Is there a planned start and end date for this welding that you and the project have in mind

Thanks Anne

Hi Team,

I just uploaded a couple weld inspection travelers: SNSPPU-INSP-HOBCB-WELD & SNSPPU-INSP-EQFH-WELD, to DocuShare. Please initiate the approval process.

Thanks,
Gary
