Before I upload this traveler, the file is labeled revision 3 with no mention of the changes in R2 and R3. If we can get this in, I can upload the traveler for approval.

Subject: P1 Window to Waveguide Welding

Kurt,
Can you please add these additional sentences and sign-off box in the P1-WELD-WIN-ASSY Traveler . Location for this addition should follow the  first sentence in Step 2.  The reason for the addition is due to  observing severe metal deposition onto the ceramic window after welding the SS Weld Adapter  into the window frame. This conductive coating will kill the window performance and must be avoided.


  *   EBW Technician is to insure that the "primary" two piece split niobium ceramic mask is installed & taped into place using Kapton tape. In addition to the primary shielding, a "secondary" niobium A-Frame shield is to be installed in the rectangular pocket for additional shielding  prior to welding.
