Hello,
Do procedures follow the new naming with a CP in front?
I have the old name as this:
CP-CEBAF-CAV-CHEM-IONP
Is the new name:
CP-CEBAF-CHEM-IONP-DEGR ?

Hi Ashley,
Yes the naming convention is slowly changing… It has to do with the work center “buckets” that are causing a problem with our reporting system and the discrepancies between reports.
The new format is:
PROJECT-WCA-COMPONENT-ACTION
This allows all the work centers to have their travelers together in the listing of travelers instead of search for a CAV component or a CM component, etc. At the point of CHEM (or INSP for that matter) it is just a “component”, doesn’t really matter where it goes down the line.
Then Mike asked that COMPONENTS come next because it really really simplifies our reporting system and being able to look across projects.
The final is ACTION which is you HPR, CLN, HPRN, EP, BCP,…… you get that part. LOL
I am sorry that I did not get a formal document out to every work center. We had a couple of meetings on the topic.
I will try to get it together sooner rather than later.
P1 is the first project we are moving forward with, kind of a guinea pig, to make sure all our “pieces” fit together.
The other projects will slowly get converted once we know it works and we get all the documentation together about the change.
Thank you for all the work you and your team have done, are doing, and continue to do. It is a pleasure to work with you and your team.
Please let us know (pansophy at jlab.org<mailto:pansophy at jlab.org>) if you have any questions, concerns, comments or ideas. We are open to all!
Valerie

P.S. Sorry about the onslaught of emails from Anne. Megan and Allen are working on travelers as quickly as possible.

Thanks,
* Component cleaning is in the draft folder, it needs a couple edits and I will resubmit it.
* String tooling, I'm not sure we need that, the items aren't serialized are they?
* The work would be covered by the STP degreasing procedure https://jlabdoc.jlab.org/docushare/dsweb/Get/Document-132364/CP-STP-CAV-CHEM-DEGR-R3.pdf
* Waveguide cleaning - will be covered int he component cleaning traveler.
* we wrote a STP copper plated procedure that covers that work, it was submitted during the C75 work.
* Valve cleaning - covered with component cleaning traveler.
* Also writing a STP valve procedure.
* Component HPR, I can't figure out what this is, we only HPR cavities and that traveler is already written.
I also wanted to ask, did we change the way we name these? I thought the standard naming was P1-[CAV or CPR}-CHEM-XXX ?
Cavity String Component Cleaning
P1-CHEM-COMP-CLN
Cavity String Tooling Cleaning
P1-CHEM-STTL-CLN
Secondary waveguide cleaning
P1-CHEM-GVWG-CLN
Valve Cleaning
P1-CHEM-VALV-CLN
Component High Pressure Rinse
P1-CHEM-COMP-HPR

Hi Ashley –
I did see some others that appears to have your name beside them – they are further down the list
Cavity String Component Cleaning
P1-CHEM-COMP-CLN
Cavity String Tooling Cleaning
P1-CHEM-STTL-CLN
Secondary waveguide cleaning
P1-CHEM-GVWG-CLN
Valve Cleaning
P1-CHEM-VALV-CLN
Component High Pressure Rinse
P1-CHEM-COMP-HPR
Just wanted to be sure they were not forgotten – if some of these are not needed any more could you let us know and we will taken them off the master list
Thanks Anne

Anne,
We're doing well with many P1 travelers sent to pansophy already. Alex has been working on them when he has to work from home. We should have travelers written for: lapping, HPR, HEP, cavity degrease, and acid etching.
We'll cc you on future submissions.

Hi Ashley
We were wondering how you were doing with the travelers for P1 ?
Kurt Macha mentioned that the string starts in 8 weeks , so we are trying to prepare – we have had a number of travelers come in this week ready to send out for final approval , and so are attempting to get as many into the system as possible for the work up to the end of the string assembly
Attached is the last Master traveler list as found in Docushare – if you have travelers that are ready to get out for approval could you please send them to Valerie and Pansophy @JLAB.org. Please copy me so I know the draft has been released to the Pansophy Team
Please let me know if you need any help
Anne

Subject: P1 Scheduled for Mid August
Hello Valerie
Here is the last P1 Schedule I had seen (from 17Aug2020) , It is been being updated by Tony, and he has not sent an update yet – never the less it does give a good idea of when things are supposed to happen for P1 , even if it is not the very latest version
