I would have no problem if you want to  have your computer reassigned to Allen - I think Erik can help with this

Regarding On Site and Badging :  I had originally understood that Allen would be off site , however if he is going to be on site then he will need to complete the trainings as required in the JLAB JTA system , I would suggest you let HR (normally Marina or Tara)   know of the change in case there are specific items they need done

For site access and Badging, Under MEDCON , HR has delegated much of what they would have organized in the past to the supervisor

1.       You need to go into his JTA Tool and identify the trainings he will need for on site access  - this in turn generates a list , most of which he can complete on line

2.       Once all training is complete then you need to contact Ariel Davis for an appointment for Badging at adavis at jlab.org<mailto:adavis at jlab.org> . I would suggest you call Ariel in advance to make sure he has all of the required trainings in case anything was missed

Tony et al,

Allen is having problems with his home computer after a recent Microsoft update. He has been working with the computer center but it was suggested that he might need a JLab laptop. I am no longer using my laptop (since I bought a camera for my home computer) and was wondering if it is possible to have that transferred to Allen? I am assuming no other laptops are available at this time.

Also, he will need to go to the helpdesk as some point in the next 24-48 hours and I will need to escort him on campus (he still doesn't have a badge).
What do I need to do to get on-site to assist Allen?

P.S. Our High School Student, Cole Mathes, has joined the team. He can be reached at mathes at jlab.org<mailto:mathes at jlab.org>
He will be using VDI (Virtual Desktop Environment) as we have no more computers on site for him to remote into.
We will have to see how to get software to him for installation.
