That sounds great Cole!
I look forward to getting started on this project.
I will work with Ms. McKisson to get the paperwork updated for your project.
Thank You!

I was going to ask you about the smart card today, but I actually have to work today so I cannot try that until later. I was actually thinking about tackling the perl conversion script as well so I'm glad that we're both on the same page. I already know JavaScript and learning CFScript should be a breeze. I am most familiar with JetBrains IDEs so I would like to continue working with those, i.e. intellij IDE.

Morning Cole!
Hope you are doing well. Were you able to get your smart-card up and working?
For help go to https://cc.jlab.org/
Login, button in the upper right of page. This page has lots of JLab information for computers.
Try to use the VDI setup and see if you can get a JLab environment.

You could try to setup O365 with Outlook and Teams to start.
If you run into any problems email the JLab help desk at helpdesk at jlab.org<mailto:helpdesk at jlab.org>
I am sick today and can't talk well. But I do want to see if you had anymore thoughts about a project for yourself?
I talked with Megan and Mike (members of the Pansophy Team) and we are hoping you would be interested in tackling the Perl conversion script that converts our travelers into the Pansophy System. It would require learning either JavaScript or CFScript (Adobe version of scripting). We are leaning towards CFScript in that it will be easier to integrate into our current Pansophy web environment. It would be all background coding.
I don't recall what IDE's you are familiar with, we are going to be using ECLIPSE for our other projects. It has lots of plugins (java, php, and CFEclipse). It is heavily used in the web developers world. But you could always just use a notepad for coding.
Please let me know your thoughts.
I will try to meet with you at 3:30pm today but will keep you posted.
