[Pansophy] PPU - extra topics after you left the meeting today

One more thought Anne...

Is the production floor still using TAGS???

I thought that was required and if an NCR is issued, the part is TAGGED, and the TAG does not get removed until the NCR is closed.

Is that in our NCR Procedure for ISO? (JACOB?)

Thank You Anne for the information.

And yes, your story is correct. Once, for example, an Inspection is done, then the traveler should be closed to "lock" the data. The NCR can remain open until the non-compliance is taken care of. This could mean a re-work and re-inspection, which would go into a new INSP traveler instantiation.

This has been the case for years, so I don't understand the confusion from Katherine and Naeem.
The status boards (ex. Traffic Lights for L2PRD) showed travelers closed with NCRs still opened all the time.

Where else do we need to present this information "again"?

Thanks for your support and help.

Valerie

Hi Valerie

Just for your awareness, after the Pansophy team , and Jacob signed off the PPU meeting just now , Katherine mentioned that there were travelers closed where they still had open NCRs (it seems both Naeem & Katherine found this confusing)

I explained that we encourage travelers to be closed as soon as the work is completed the reason being this is tied to the Status boards – and therefore allow for NCRs to remain open after the traveler is closed - I hope I got this story right……

Both Naeem & Katherine were a surprised – Katherine said that if this is the case then it needs to be socialized – that folks assume that if the travelers is closed then the NCR must be closed

Naeem felt that people should not be allowed to close a traveler with open NCRs (he asked for examples of where a traveler would be closed with the NCR still open – in the end it was left that more discussion was needed

You or Jacob might want to clarify at some point with Katherine & Naeem (nothing urgent – just a topic that might come up again)

Best - Anne
