FYI
Tech Reps sharing L2HE Travelers with FNAL counterparts... via email or by setting up their own SharePoint drive(s).
Is this something I should look into? Katherine is giving them the okay to send Travelers to FNAL.

One suggestion/clarification. The official version of the traveler files are the approved ones stored in DocuShare. It's helpful to tell FNAL (or others) that you are sending a copy of the current/approved version. Also, if SharePoint looks too organized and/or is widely used by our SOTRs to store traveler files without the right disclaimers, it may take on a life of it's own and people may think those are the official versions. Keeping the versions in sync will be extra work.

Hi Lakshmi, this is part of a larger effort by JLab and FNAL to ensure that we are performing similar inspections on all components. In this case, it is fine to send your FNAL counterpart the inspection traveler that you have written. You can email or create a Sharepoint, or use any other means of transfer that you prefer.
Thanks,
Katherine

Hi Valerie, Jacob,
I received a request from FNAL SOTR that they need copies of the magnet and thermal intercept inspection traveler to compare the procedures followed by the partner lab. I want to confirm with you the best practice to follow in terms of sharing the project-related files since you might have received similar requests from other SOTRs too: Is it possible to set up a SharePoint drive space with a directory for HE magnets and components where I can upload files ( if it is okay to do so), send a request to admin to add authorized users, and then share the link to those who need access to these files? This will reduce any risk by sharing the original files by email.
I look forward to having your feedback,
Thanks
Lakshmi
