I'm the Jlab qualified Welding Inspector. We do have an SNT-TC-1A Weld Examiner Program, but they will not be consider to be  qualified Welding Inspector (code required Owners Inspector) , they will be considered qualified Welding Examiners.

As it relates to the Welding code, Examinations are considered to be a QC function, while an inspection is considered to be a QA function. The level of code coverage required will dictate the relevance of the Examination or the Inspection.

When Examinations are applicable it will also require the Inspectors review of the  In-Process Examination Reports that have been conducted for compliance and to provide final Inspection Report to validates the work was done.

When only a Inspection is required then it would the Inspector will be me.

Lines 3(b) [note: 3a is listed twice] and 11b.  Adding the line "Inspection must be done by a qualified weld inspector." should be good.  I'm not sure who the list of qualified weld inspectors is, I believe Jenord has that information.

We can do this, but we’ll need to know how you want it to be worded in the traveler, and where exactly it should go. We also need to know who the certified inspectors are. A new specific list of users can be created, maybe call it SRFWLD?
