[Pansophy] acronym needed

Valerie,
Gigi asked me to write a procedure for cleaning the part. I am not planning on writing a traveler for it.

Tiffany Ganey just emailed me for feedback on a girder cleaning traveler, so she might be a good contact.

Ashley ,

NEGPC is fine.
I'm curious, are you not going to track cleaning them?
Or is this your "spreadsheet" you use?
The reason I am asking is because Allen and I were trying to get Drury et al to do their WMGRDR travelers/procedures so we are prepared for the SAD.
Just wondered if there is someone I can reach out to. Thanks for any help.

Valerie

Okay, I just need the acronym for the procedure name, not for a drop down menu to select an item. Is it okay to just use the NEGPC for the procedure name then?

Hi Ashley,

Generally, things with serial numbers get acronyms. And things without serial numbers do not get acronyms. Acronyms are used to find which serial numbers to use in the drop downs in travelers.

If the NEG Pump Cartridges don’t have serial numbers, and I haven’t seen anything with NEG in its name that has a serial number, then there is no need for an acronym.

We will need more information, PN etc., before proceeding.

Mike,

I do not. From what I understand this is an item that is normally bagged, it’s small, like 3-4” long and it’s a cartridge. I think Marcy might use them and they will be using this on a girder. I’m not sure if they are even serialized.

Hi Ashley,

Do you have a part number, vendor PN, or drawing for this? NEGPC sound fine with me, I just need to match it up with the part number when they arrive.

Thanks,

Hi,

I am writing a procedure for cleaning a NEG Pump Cartridge and there is not an acronym in Pansophy for it that I was able to find. I was going to use NEGPC if that's alright with you?
