[Pansophy] C100 Cavity Status Board ?

Tony,

This is a "Project Overview" report that shows ALL travelers and NCRs for a project (not by CM - may want one in future).

https://pansophy.jlab.org/pansophy/DataMine/Reports/MonthlyReport/MonthlyStatement.cfm

This report shows ALL travelers in a Project area
https://pansophy.jlab.org/pansophy/DataMine/Reports/Traveler_Status_ProjectAll.cfm

It shows where a traveler has never been used (No Open + No Closed = Never used)
[cid:image002.jpg at 01D8143C.3A2A8CD0]

I put together the attached spreadsheet. It shows all the travelers for C100R and the Last Time a traveler was opened.
You know better what work Has or Has Not been don't yet.
But most of the travelers have not been used in a while.

Valerie

P.S. letting the P-Team know what is going on incase more help is needed.

Hi Anne and Valerie,

Is there a report that can be sent on the C100R use and a list of the travelers without causing something new to be created?

Also, in regards to a dashboard, I don't know how useful and to whom it would be useful, but I'm open to discussion.

Thanks,
Tony

Hi Tony

Valerie recently did a survey and found that many C100R travelers have never been used , so we are wondering if they should be made obsolete ? On the other hand Tiffany has suggested at least for the cavity some of them still might get used eventually ? There also is no C100R Dashboard - to put this together we would need to confirm which travelers are to be used along with a confirmation of the order of the steps . Tiffany has done an excellent process flow already for the cavity that can be used for the basis of the Cavity Status Board - but for the String and the Cryomodule we would need input

Tiffany also mentioned needing an additional traveler (see her note below)

I had asked Valerie about whether we would need your help : Valerie's comments from her chat - Yes, we may want to get Tony involved for 3 reasons 1- so he can set the standard for actually using travelers in all work centers. 2 - so he can go over the list of travelers and define where data should be kept. 3 - to assign TR's for each component and assy. Thank You!

Could you let me know how you would like to handle this - would you be available to support a stand alone meeting on C100R ?

Thanks for your help

Anne

Hi Anne - I think this is the file you were looking for then - https://jeffersonlab-my.sharepoint.com/:b:/g/personal/ganey_jlab_org/EflYhme0uChMv9s8b2Grq0kBO12EspbHturbO7GzQa4Fjg?e=vIesGf

I call these "Process maps" instead of status boards. I create them using Visio so the linked file is a copy of the file exported to PDF so that you can open the file easily. It does list all of the cavity related travelers that I know of that are planned to be used for C100-10. A warning though - each cryomodule refurbishment seems to be slightly different based on what we know about that specific cryomodule and what previous refurbishments have taught us, so I would be hesitant to delete travelers that are not in use for C100-10 because we may end up needing them anyway - either now or for future refurbishments.

Also - we need a C100R-CHEM-CAV-HEP traveler. I have talked to Ashely about this a few times but I don't think it is being tracked in the Master List yet. This traveler would be used under the "EP (5um warm A)" box in the linked C100-10R Process Map.

Also - we are learning that high numbers of HPR may impact the cavity interior surface area. I am currently thinking that we need to track the cumulative total number of HPR passes a cavity has been exposed to so that we can know when the cavity is approaching the quantity where the surface may be impacted. I do not anticipate this being a significant issue for C100-10 refurbishment because we plan to EP the cavity before any HPRs, since the EP will reset the surface and "restart" the HPR pass count. However, as a long term action / request, I would like to have a "dashboard" that shows the total number of HPR passes a cavity has had since its last EP. This dashboard will require that the C100R HEP traveler mentioned above be implemented so that we know when the cavity surface has been reset.

Hi Tiffany

This is the one I found - however I recalled seeing another with the Cavity process steps across the top

FYI- for C100 there is no Status board , listing the travelers across the top , and status of the Cryomodule below (Yellow or green) , It also seems there are a lot of travelers that are not being used according to Valerie , so there is some clean up also needed to get rid of travelers that won't ever be used

I was thinking a good starting place is to take your process flow - which likely lists the travelers for the cavities in order - then I only need to worry about the others

Any suggestions are welcome as always !

Anne

Hi Anne,

I keep track of the C100 work (that I need to track for cavity qualification) in a SharePoint excel file. However, I copy the information in the SharePoint file into Kirk's Work Center Plan file on a ~ weekly basis when we are actively working a C100 string.

If you open the Work Center Plan, you will see a tab "C100-09R Status" that shows the spreadsheet filled in for a completed cavity string. There is also a "C100-10R Status" tab that has been prepared for when C100-10 cavities begin their refurbishment process.

Hi Tiffany

I had recalled that you had a cavity status board for C100 that looked very nice

Could you direct me to where I would find it ?

Thanks Anne
