Mircea,
Thank you so very much for looking over the menus!
The Data Mine area should work as before (I will look at that error you had).
The future for Data mining is to add more functionality for scientists like you who are looking across projects and for specific items.
I will look into adding what you asked and look forward to hearing more ideas from you and other scientists.
We are trying to grow the data mine area, but I felt it needed to be set apart from normal “production” activities.
I have added comments to your questions below.
Again Thank You!
Valerie

Good morning Val,
The Pansophy Menu Upgrade looks great. Seems to be pretty good.
Have some questions related with DATAMINE menu: I can see queries based on SERIAL NUMBER, then USER DEFINED and VARGRID.
Suppose:
1. USER DEFINED will work identical with USER DEFINED in the "old" Pansophy approach. Is this true? YES
2. B. VARGRID will allow for cross DATAMINE (data mining from different travelers i.e. for the same part ( i.e. cavity with the same SN, processed in the chem area, then in the clean room and finally in the VTA) can we collect pertinent data from chem , clean room, VTA travelers? VARGRID does not currently allow cross traveler/project, but Serial Number Search will. Hope to expand VARGRID and UDQs
3. C. It will be great to have a datamine sample for VARIGRID usage (why not a template with graphs generated based on VARGID datamine). I hope to add more graphing to the Data Mine section. We are still learning the new ways of the ColdFusion world, but hope to understand the possibilities soon. I am also investigating the use of MATLAB again. We used this in the very original Pansophy creation, but then MATLAB took away our connections. I recently saw that it has been added back. Yeah!
4. Just tried to use VARGRID for SNS PPU-032 and, after selecting a traveler form chem area, then a traveler related with leak check, got this message: Will look at this and fix.

Take care,
Mircea

SRFOPS / SRF S&T / Pansophy Users
The Pansophy Team has been working on an upgraded menu system for the past several months and we are now ready to release into Production.
We will be upgrading the Menus and related directories/files on Tuesday June 14th, 2022 starting at 5pm.
Purpose And Benefits:
· Categorizes pages by Work/Use Areas
· Examples: Production Floor Work, Quality Control Reports, Scientific Data Mining
· Minimizing the need to “hop” between Main Menu Areas
· Reduces number of “clicks” to information.
· Archives
· Unused / no longer needed Reports
· Closed Projects
· Maximizes Visibility and Priorities of Areas
· Updates the flow in Preparation for SRF’s growing needs
Attached is a slide set showing the layout and descriptions of the new menu system.
