Hi Mike,
You want to have such travelers standardized for all incoming goods? - I get your point.
I think point 2 "Is the package in good condition?" should do that, right? However, it does not seem that we keep track of broken/triggered shock indicators in that field like in the case of CAVR042/45, see below.
Could you please just make that part of your future routine then? I hope this isn't too much of additional effort.

Hi John,
I would very much like to keep the INV travelers as standard as possible. We can take additional pictures as requested.

Hey Mike,
Given the state of the latest HE-cavity crate, we've raised the discussion again about the quality/service on the logistics company, as well as issues with the treatment by customs.
In that framework, we would like to provide RI with "as-received" pictures of the crates. Would it be possible to add the following fields to the L2HE-INV-CAV traveler:
1. Picture of the closed crate before opening
2. Picture(s) of all shock indicators in and outside of the crate
So far, I often went ahead and opened the crates myself and send pictures to SLAC if there were any issues. We might have to formalize that a bit more. You guys are doing a very good job with documenting the state of the cavities inside the crate itself!
Cheers,
John V
