Hello and Welcome!
First I want to say Thank You for agreeing to work with us for this Fall 2022 Semester.
We will be continuing to work on the SamTraxs 2.0 project (Sample Tracking) for Thin Films and Material Sciences Research and Development group.
Next week I will start introducing you to the project and requirements for this semester.
An Nguyen has been with us before and has an advantage, but we will get you, Adithya Singh, up to speed in no time.
I need to know your availability schedule. Please take a look at you school schedules and tell me when you expect to be online.
For SULI it is 20 hours a week.
My team works 7am - 4pm or 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday EST.
Please figure out a series of times that you can work. I know that exceptions will come up through-out the semester, but please try to be as consistent as possible.
Next week I will be sending out some information about the Project, Logging onto our system (An, you may be able to help Adithya) using the SRFTERM computer. I have already asked Lisa Surles-Law to get Crypto Cards for you both so you can log into our secured systems. You should however be able to log into JLab's general server terminals and Office 365 products. We use 'Teams' by Microsoft for our communications and meetings.
After I know your schedules I will setup some meetings, send some learning material for you Adithya, and we will go from there.
Please let me know when you are able to log into JLab, onto Office/Teams, and when you receive your Crypto Cards.
If you have any questions please feel free to email me at bookwalt at jlab.org<mailto:bookwalt at jlab.org>
