Hi Tiffany, et al.,
I have entered these bellows (PN: 11151-0216) into inventory so we can start tracking them. 4 of these do not have assembly serial numbers engraved, so we will engrave them starting at 500 - 503. Note that all of these parts have etched serial numbers for the large flange. We will be using the engraved serial numbers only. The part name is "FLANGED BELLOWS ASSEMBLY" from the drawing and the acronym is FBASN.

Subject: RE: CEBAF Cavity Pair End Dishes and Bellows
Update on the end dish bellows:
>From Jay Benesch - A very old order of the bellows did not specify the forming fluid composition and one bearing chlorine was used by the vendor. These bellows developed leaks and should have been scrapped.
We are sending the bellows found in inventory through Tom Prosper for a quick leak check. There is no visual indication of corrosion that would be present if the bellows were contaminated with chlorine and some of the bellows are passing an initial leak check. Based on this, I think the bellows we have on hand have the potential to be usable for future C75 cryomodules. I will create a traveler for inspection of these bellows and recording the SNs into Pansophy and Primes. This will also allow us to generate NCRs on the bellows that did not pass the initial leak check. I did not see an existing traveler that captured the inspection of just end dish bellows - there is an ER5C-INSP-ENDD for the inspection of an assembled end dish and ER5C-FAB-ENDD for fabricating the end dish.

Subject: CEBAF Cavity Pair End Dishes and Bellows
There are some CEBAF Cavity Pair End Dish parts in inventory that we are trying to determine if they are usable for current C50 / C75 cavity pair assemblies. (Pictures of parts on shelf at the end of this email.)

- ~23x end dish bellows (11151-0216)
- 3x end head closure dish (11151-0217)?
- ~3x inner adapters
After talking to Danny, I think that a first step may be to get the 4 end dish assemblies on the CMM waitlist. The travelers I listed above for the assemblies are from 2013-2015 so I think that a re-inspection would be needed before we had confidence in the parts. I would prioritize ED092, which did not have any recorded out of tolerances so it may be closest to being useable as a spare for the current pair assemblies. Two of the other end dish assemblies have out of tolerances of 0.001" so maybe they can be easily fixed or accepted for use as-is?
We are still working to find any history on the bellows but I believe that if we think that they may be useable, we should plan to re-inspect them anyway. If someone is familiar enough with these bellows, it may be good to go look at them in inventory to make sure there is no obvious reason that they would not be usable.
If we find that some (or all) of these parts are not useable for current CEBAF pair assemblies, I think we should determine if the parts need to be put in a long term storage or if they can be properly disposed of to free up space in inventory.
