[Pansophy] EIC Project Areas

Just a reminder, PRIMeS is not setup to handle raw stock. I expect all raw stock to be controlled in the Niobium System. The Nb system can handle Nb, NbTi, Cu, & Al, but not steel.

The dies should have drawing numbers and can be processed in PRIMeS.

All,

Given the amount, size, and weights of various materials (Al, Cu, Nb, etc..) and in addition many dies needed for EIC, I am looking at setting up a cage or area specifically for EIC. Most likely in the TED bldg.

I know this doesn't answer your questions geared more toward database control, but I thought I would mention it.

Phil

Hi Mike,

I have only raw material coming in for EIC at the moment, but I believe David has actual flanges coming in (these are for both the two flavors of EIC, ellipticals and crabs). What do we need to start storing Nb and NbTi under EIC?

The cryomodule components are probably a year away and have no part numbers as yet.

Thanks,
Naeem

Hi Naeem,

As far as the production project for EIC, no, we don't even have a BOM yet or acronyms to match each of the varied, but similar parts (i.e., 5 different types of cavities, tuners, FPCs, spaceframes, vacuum vessels, etc.) for each of the 5 cryomodule configurations.

I will let Valerie address prototype areas for EIC.

Please keep in mind that acronyms WILL have to be discussed and agreed on prior to any parts arriving.

Hi Valerie and Mike,

We are going to start getting material coming in for EIC. Is there a plan to open up an area in PRIMeS and Pansophy for the project?

Thanks,

Naeem
