Naeem,
Thank you for the information and the suggestions.
1. Yes, to creating a report for CERN. I have already spoken with Megan; she is most familiar with writing to/from excel.
1. Additionally, she is the lead for the "PROJECTS" area of Pansophy and can help with generating reports/status boards/etc. I also understand that Jamie Blowers has requested access, so he would be granted access to the AUPCAV Projects area.
1. Travelers can do calculations. In the traveler put a [[describe calculations here ]]<<NOTE>>. If we can't do a calculation in the traveler, then we can generate an excel spreadsheet with Macros that could do the calculations.
1. We can provide a mechanism to export the traveler data to the generated report (and have that available in the projects area, if desired).
It would be helpful to us if we know what is "required" in each report as travelers are generated. This way we can ensure all data is being collected in the traveler and get a list of the variable names to ensure a smooth export.
If you have any questions or additional suggestions, please feel free to reach out to us again.
At some point I would like to "brainstorm" with you about possible future improvements to our "project" / "management" / "overview" reports and status boards. The team has been working on ideas and have taken into account information we gathered in our initial Data Mining Meetings. Also, include fabrication type projects in that brainstorming session.
Thank You for your help!

Subject: AUPCAV Leak Test Report
Hi Valerie,
CERN would like a report similar to the one attached for our leak test results (a lot of it isn't applicable). The report is proprietary so please don't share it.
You mentioned that we have extracted data into a spreadsheet in the past, and that may be a good way to do this. Can entries from travelers be input directly into specific cells in the spreadsheet? I recall that travelers couldn't do math/calculations on entries; is this still the case? I have a following suggestions on how to go about this, and am open to other ones (or combinations of those below).
1. Create a report template spreadsheet with cells connected by formulas. Include an export button on the traveler which would put values entered into the traveler into particular cells in the report spreadsheet (names, times, values etc.). Excel would do the math to create the final report to submit to CERN
1. Format the traveler with all the information required in the report and have it do the calculations to get the final values (leak rate etc.). The traveler could then be exported as a PDF (or any other format) and submitted to CERN
1. Create a spreadsheet report and manually transfer the data to create the report.
Option 3 is the least desirable, but it may be what we have to do at the start until something automated is available. Regarding options 1 and 3, would someone at pansophy be able to create a report template similar to what is attached?
Thanks,
Naeem
