Hey Allen,

I am sorry for the confusion but at this point I am just as confused now. I spoke with Alex and we decided to just take the "Operator" portion out of step 1 as its already being recorded in Step 3. I am attaching the most recent revision of the traveler. Hope that helps.

Thank you for looking over the edits. I'm a bit confused by what you meant in your response to the <<USERS>> question. I'm looking at your revised document, and the field is not in the correct format to be used as it is only the fieldname. Alternatively, did you mean that the data the field would be collecting is being taken care of elsewhere? If it's the latter, I can remove the residual fieldname and route the traveler for approvals.

For the <<USERS>> field in step 1 I am just looking for a dropdown to select which employee did the task. It looks like that is already in there so we can take <<USERS>> out. I went ahead and accepted all the changes you had made, they look good. I also added the comment in step three about recording values for rotation and wand speed (if they are changed). Thankyou for your help and insight. Let me know if I need to change anything else.

I was looking over your traveler prior to routing for approval, and there were some changes I made that I wanted you to look over and greenlight before I do. The document has track changes turned on, so you can see what changes I made. If they're acceptable, you can accept all changes and stop tracking under the review tab. There's some other questions and comments I had as well that I've included below.

  *   With the <<USERS>> field in step 1, what are you trying to do with it? <<USERS>> isn't a current field type we use.
  *   The HPR settings area in step 3 seems to have step instructions in the fieldname

     *   This is alright, but normally we put the instructions in the left column, and the fieldnames just say what they're recording.
     *   For example: [[IfYesRecord]] <<COMMENT>> would say "If yes, record speed change" in the instruction column (or something like that), and the fieldname would be something along the lines of [[SpeedChange]].
     *   Your call if you want to change that.

  *   You did use the wrong template, but that's on us for having a template that's still being worked on in that folder

     *   I've moved your traveler to the right template, so you don't have to do anything.

I understand you're new to writing travelers, and wanted to direct you to our traveler authorship powerpoint<https://pansophy.jlab.org/pansophy/Documents/TravelerAuthorship2022PDF.pdf> on the main pansophy page. We normally offer a Traveler Authorship competency using it, but we're in the process of updating the training to match the new template and aren't currently running any classes. You can take the training when we start up again if you or your supervisor deem it necessary, but for now this should suffice.
