Hi Megan and Gabriel,
I've played around with the page for a few minutes, here are my thoughts. Great Job!
* If viewing in half-screen, ensure Search box stays with Pansophy menu header rather than stay at the right side of table
If possible, this would be nice. However, it may require some CSS to make it proportional to the screen size of the user. This may need to be in Rev 2.
* Would be nice to be able to resize columns if viewing on a smaller screen.
I thought DataTables allowed this, please verify
* Kappa, Ep/Eacc, Bp/Eacc - should have a limit on the number of sig figs displayed. I expect these numbers come from simulation where you have great precision, but limited accuracy. Maybe stop at the millionths place (6 digits after decimal)
This would be important
* If there is a Previous | Page Num | Next control at the bottom, would be nice to have one at the top, but not sure where that would go in relation to the search bar. Of the two, I prefer having Search at the top.
Hold on this as Matt is working on a "standard" filtering, sorting, menu.
* At the moment, there are only 50-something entries. Not sure why in the Show # entries dropdown there would be options for 100, 200.
Not sure if this can be put inside a <CFIF> and check against the query.RecordCount returned.
* From a production standpoint, it would be nice to point out the cavities that are use for large projects (SNSPPU, L2HE, AUPCAV etc). Cavities like the TESLA 9-cell (TL9) could have a reference to L2HE, L2PRD, and any other Pansophy production area that used that cavity style. This could be as simple as an addition to the Comment field "Used for L2HE production" which would catch anyone searching for the project who didn't know the TESLA style. I suppose that I, a user with edit permissions, could add this myself.
PETER, we would need someone to tell us what cavities go to what project (LOL).
* Regarding editing, I like the color highlighting if an entry is marked for update. I prefer the old method of editing where the data is only shown once and all fields are simply editable. The new edit page repeats data, showing what is already in the database and what the user can/has entered. I'd suggest removing the 'blue data' from the edit page.
Gabriel, for now leave as is. Let's get some other views to make sure before we change this. Since you are nearing the end of your internship, this may need to be in Rev 2
* Overall, a great improvement over the previous page. Adding search function, sorting columns, great work!
This is coming with Matt's updates.
Sorry I missed introducing myself in person. I'll swing by tomorrow or next week.
Peter

Gigi and Rongli,
I am forwarding this to gain more visibility on it. My student, Gabriel, has been working on the Cavity Types page and we are looking for some feedback. He only has a few weeks left and I would like him to be able to incorporate some feedback into his poster.
Thank you!
Megan McDonald
