[Pansophy] EIC197-FAB Travelers

Justine and Naeem,

I've moved the AUP version of the procedure into the modern template and renamed it EIC197-PR-CHEM-CAV-ACID. Please review the document and make any changes you deem necessary before putting it into ready for approvals. This can go through approvals at the same time as the travelers, but will need to go live before they can so I can edit the hyperlinks. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Thank you Justine. DocuShare thought ahead on this one and made it so that you can move documents around without changing the link. (if you look at a docushare link, it goes to a specific file, rather than follow a pathway like windows explorer). I'll move these documents over and make the changes.

Thanks Allen,

The following three links are process flow maps for travelers I’ve worked on and can be moved, if traveler links to docushare don’t update automatically they’ll need to be updated as well. For clarity:

EIC197-FAB-EGBP-ASSY-R1 & EIC197-FAB-FPCBP-ASSY-R1 Should link to End Grp Beampipe
EIC197-FAB-FPCT-ASSY-R1 Should link to FPC Port Tube
EIC197-FAB-FPPA-ASSY1-R1 & EIC197-FAB-FPPA-ASSYF-R1 Should link to Field Probe Port

Thank you and sorry for the confusion,

-Justine

Ok I will get with my co-workers on the procedure.

Just to be clear regarding the sharepoint link, the link I should swap to is FPC Port Tube Fabrication Plan<https://jlabdoc.jlab.org/docushare/dsweb/Get/Document-289438/FPC%20Port%20Tube%20Fabrication%20Plan.pptx> right? Just asking because I didn't realize it wasn't a process flow map, and instead was a project requirement. If it is a process flow doc, I'd like to move it and any of the others in the project requirements folder to the process flow folder. I can do that myself, so if this is the case all you need to do is tell me which ones to move.

Allen

That’s roughly correct. If we make a new version of the AUP procedure with an EIC ID then I imagine we’d like to swap the references to the AUP procedure that are used in the approved EIC197-FAB travelers for consistencies sake. To my knowledge there is only one approved traveler that refers to the old AUP procedure.

Thanks,

-Justine

So if I understand correctly; the master procedures don't cover everything you need to run the traveler, so we need to create something that does? Will this be needed in the EIC197-FAB travelers already out for approval or in pansophy?

Hi Justine and Allen,

Could we just give make a new version of the AUP procedure and give it an EIC ID?

Thanks,

Naeem

Thanks Allen,

I knew I forgot something, The Fab plan should be in docushare (under 01B - Project Requirements) but I think I forgot to change the link to reflect that, apologies if 03C is the new place those are going, I could try and move the three process flows if you need me to. As for the referenced chem room procedure:

SRF-MSPR-CHEM-FBH-DEGR-R1 can be used in step 2a for all travelers as a substitute for the CP-AUP-CAV-CHEM-ACID without issue. It’s a little aukward as some parts aren’t flanges, but I’m sure the chem folks won’t let that trip them up.
SRF-MSPR-CHEM-NB-ACID-R1 can be included in step 2b for all travelers, however I don’t want to remove the old CP-AUP procedure without a replacement procedure detailing the stainless steel etch mix and process. Two parts on every traveler are 316LN and do not get a true BCP, but rather a mild acid bath. The AUP procedure covered both processes. I’m open to suggestions though if you know of other procedures, and I can get with the Chem group on Monday to see if there’s a SS etch procedure written up for EIC. On the traveler I’ve already got out there it’s been a point of confusion so I’ve been trying to make it clearer on these three.

Otherwise, thank you for tackling this, and for the tip on the footer- I didn’t realize it was linked until you pointed it out just now.

Have a great weekend if I don’t hear back from you sooner,

-Justine

Justine,

I've been reviewing your three EIC197-FAB travelers. They're mostly good, but I have made some revisions and would like your assistance on a few more.

To sum up my revisions, after talking to Mike Dickey I've gone and revised some of the SNs and the component part of the traveler IDs to better reflect the correct component acronyms. There may or may not be a couple other SN revisions, but I will have to wait until Monday to confirm those. I also fixed the footer so that the name on the left-hand side can update with the document name. In the future, all you need to do is right click on it and select "Update field". The same goes for the print date.

Now for what I need from you. In all 3 travelers you have CP-AUP-CAV-CHEM-ACID<https://jlabdoc.jlab.org/docushare/dsweb/Get/Document-260914/CP-AUP-CAV-CHEM-ACID-R2(2).pdf> listed as a reference. This is an old procedure and is in the AUP project. With other recent EIC197-FAB travelers we've been using SRF-MSPR-CHEM-NB-ACID-R1<https://jlabdoc.jlab.org/docushare/dsweb/Get/Document-261723/SRF-MSPR-CHEM-NB-ACID-R1.pdf> and SRF-MSPR-CHEM-FBH-DEGR-R1<https://jlabdoc.jlab.org/docushare/dsweb/Get/Document-261899/SRF-MSPR-CHEM-FBH-DEGR-R1.pdf> to replace them. Please review these procedures and let me know which one should be used and where, or both if need be. You also have FPCPortTubeFabricationPlan<https://jeffersonlab.sharepoint.com/:p:/r/sites/EICPartnerProject-TJNAF/Accelerator/RF%20Systems/Cryomodules/197%20MHz%20DVC/Cavity%20Fabrication%20Files/Fabrication%20Plans/FPC%20Port%20Tube%20Fabrication%20Plan.pptx?d=wa2642731cc734de7b6af2fdc9a2195a6&csf=1&web=1&e=AcduDD> listed as a reference. It's linked to a sharepoint document, which we don't allow. I can't access this, so I will need you to move it to the 03C - Process Flow Maps (EIC197)<https://jlabdoc.jlab.org/docushare/dsweb/View/Collection-58623> in DocuShare so that it can be swapped out.

I've attached all three travelers for your review and convenience. You can either make the changes yourself, or move the sharepoint document to docushare and let me know how you want the other things changed; your choice. If you have any questions about this, please don't hesitate to reach out.
