John,
Thanks, I have also been refreshing my memory today. This is what we decided to do for the cavities that failed but might be used if needed (to close open NCRs), the disposition just needed to be changed when we decided to use them. I will try to keep a better eye on the closed NCRs too, we don’t want this to be shipped to a customer with a rejected disposition. I think there are several cavities where this occurred, if you know the numbers and if they went into strings, we should update those too.
Thanks for the help updating the disposition.
Best,
-Ashley

Thanks Ashley,
Good catch. I tried to comprehend what happened back then but could not quite make sense of it. The intermediate disposition had already the request to put the cavity on hold until further notice. And in a nutshell that’s exactly what happened i.e. the CTB accepted it as a marginal cavity for the latest string on July 2nd of this year. I don’t know what drove me to close it with a final disposition. Maybe an eager QM wanted me to improve the closed NCR statistics 😉
I’ll edit the final disposition once Pansophy has opened it again.
Best,
John V

Subject: Issue with Cav HE-R017
Morning,
It was brought to my attention that cavity HE-R017 was final dispositioned as "reject" in NCR 120 in Jan 2022, initial comment: Cavity unable to reach required gradient 23 MV/m & final comment: cavity put on hold by CTB. In July 2024, it was leak checked and put in a string J-31. What was done to the cavity to correct the issue that caused the rejection and where is this documented? Or if the disposition is now "use-as-is", the NCR needs to be re-opened and the disposition needs to be updated.
Cavity history (recent to old) since reject disposition:

Thank you for your attention in getting this corrected expeditiously,
