Hi Allen,
The procedure is general, for BLAs in general. The traveler, however, is for ceramic specifically.
I wasn't sure if it was a DEGR or USC action, I might have accidentally kept the cited procedure in the traveler as USC but changed it to DEGR in the title of the procedure. The procedure includes USC but not exclusively so I was hesitant to cite that in the ID. Other procedures that had USC included but other cleaning actions as well cited DEGR so I went with that. If there's a better way to identify then please let me know.
Thanks,
Michelle

Thanks Michelle. We're gonna rename the component part of the acronym to BLACRM, which stands for HOM Beam Line Absorber Ceramic. I'll leave the component for the procedure ID unchanged, since the title suggests it's for Beam Line Absorbers in general. Unless of course it's also specifically for Beam Line Absorber Ceramic.
One more question. Is this a DEGR or USC action? Both the traveler and procedure use DEGR as the action in the ID, but the traveler talks about UltraSonic Cleaning, and the procedure name in the traveler is for a EICRD-PR-CHEM-BLA-USC, not DEGR. Which one is it?

I just provided him with the drawings, they're from BNL so they don't have JL numbers. I think he has what he needed.
Thanks,
Michelle

I will go ahead and preemptively delete it then. The procedure is out for approvals, I'm just waiting for the go-ahead from Mike once he's discussed parts with you to route the traveler. is there a part or drawing we can link in the references? That was one of the concerns he had.

Hi Allen,
Yes once the procedure is approved the STP procedure isn't needed, thanks for noticing that.

Michelle,
One more thing. The traveler has an old STP procedure linked that has the same ID as the new procedure I'm routing next to the traveler. Once the procedure is approved, can I remove the STP procedure and link the EICRD one? Or is there something in the STP that is needed?
Also a heads up, Mike Dickey will be contacting you sometime today to talk acronyms and components for this.

Michelle,
After looking into this a bit more and talking to Valerie, I think we're going to keep these as EICRD. I'll update accordingly and route for approvals.

Hi Allen,
David instructed me to put it in EIC R&D since the procedure and traveler are part of an ongoing experiment. They will be transferred into the production category once they are finalized with enough revisions. The procedure is meant to be revised multiple times and the traveler is meant to document technicians' input about the procedure in addition to recording data.
This is for the 591 1-cell project, however as the procedure needs to be tested out we need it to be in R&D. The R&D category was created with this process in mind. Please let me or David know if you need any more information.
Thank you,
Michelle

Michelle,
Upon further review, I'm not sure this should be EICRD. Best guess is either EIC591SC or EIC197, with EIC591SC being the top contender since David Savransky is listed as an NCR/D3. It could still be EICRD, but with what I have infront of me I'm not able to be certain which EIC area it should go into. Would you please help?
Allen

Michelle,
I saw that you put out two EIC documents. They're put in the EICRD area, but don't have that full name in the Project area of the ID. Should I rename them to EICRD, or is there another EIC area you would prefer?
Allen
