Hi David,

Thank you for starting the form given it so early in the process given you do not have JL or vendor part numbers for the majority of the items. I have a couple of suggestions for the next revision:


  1.
Typically, the sterilization format JL numbers will be 3 or 4 digits
  2.
For procured parts and you know the vendor, you can go into PRIMeS and look at vendors serial number format. For example

Cernox CU Sensor
CX-1050-CU-HT-1.4L-QL
X######
TBD

 My guess is that you do not have any travelers yet therefore they are all TBD. Remember For traceability I am typically only interested in the last traveler where the Part+Serial number will be required to be entered (typed in or drop down) by a technician. I am fully aware as parts becomes sub-assemblies and assemblies that we can track from Cryomodule backwards.

Hi folks,

I have attached my first draft of the PEP Traceability Form for the 591 Mhz CM project (EIC591).  Can you please let me know if you have any comments or concerns with it?

As you might notice, most of it remains TBD as only a few components have moved on from the design phase to the procurement phase.  The most prominent components that we have started receiving are the cenrox sensor; the pressure sensors and RF cables will be soon to follow within the next few weeks/month.  My hope is to fill out more of the final drawing numbers as we progress through the FDRs/TPRR and begin procurement.
