Hi Tony,

Valerie had been mentioning removing the NOW button from the converter for travelers for a couple years now. This was as a result of assembly folks using the NOW button when putting data into travelers for work that wasn't completed in that moment and not correcting the date (i.e., a string getting built in a day).

The NOW button was removed from the converter in April of this year. So any travelers converted after this change did not include that button. As directed, I had been adding it back for CHEM travelers when requested since they tend to fill out data as the work was being done.

The intention was to replace the button with a calendar picking tool but we haven't gotten the functionality down yet. I have now added the button back to the converter until we can get our new calendar picker working.

Megan

P Team,

Please help me understand the extent of the abuse and what problems were being caused. I imagine some folks were being disciplined with using the NOW button to date the work and some were not. We still need a means to date the work that is being done. What other option has been provided? Seems if we allow folks to just enter dates, they'll use different formats which would seem to also cause problems. Another thought is, before it was decided to take down the "Now" button, what was done to address the abuse?

Sorry, may be I was informed, but I'm just now learning the a traveler functionality was removed.

Thanks,
Tony

Tony,

Paige came to me to complain the "Now" button was removed from their travelers. I was under the impression that the now button was going to be replaced with a calendar to select a date vs filling in with today's date, but the calendar was not added when the now button was removed. I'd like to talk about this with you and Valerie please.

Thank you,
- Ashley
