[Pansophy] Adapting L2RB HOM feedthrough inspection travelers from HE travelers

Liang,

If this is not a jlab drawing, then it should still be put in the DCG as an external document. We don't allow drawings linked to DocuShare anymore.
I also noticed that 11141-S-0029 rev. B is unlinked in L2RB-CMA-HMFT-LEAK. That specification will also need to be added in since it's not showing up in the DCG.
Lastly, some of the approval names and NCR/D3 usernames differ from the WCD slightly. Either the WCD needs to be updated, or the travelers changed to reflect it.

I see. Three travelers for HOM FT have been uploaded for approval. Drawing stays the same. It was linked to Docushare instead of DCG because it is not a JLab drawing.

L2RB-INSP-HMFT-R1
L2RB-VTA-HMFT-CSHK-R1
L2RB-CMA-HMFT-LEAK-R1

Thanks,
Liang

Liang,

It's there, it's just in a different place under the new project area organization.
https://jlabdoc.jlab.org/docushare/dsweb/View/Collection-59849
We at pansophy are actually in discussion about having a single universal ready for approval area for all project docs to make it easier on people to find.

Allen,

I am getting ready to put these three travelers for approval. But I can't find the "Ready for approval" folder under L2RB project. What to do now?

Thanks,
Liang

Allen,

Don't worry about my last question. It was just a possibility I was thinking, not what has happened. I will work on getting the new travelers ready under L2RB headers.

Thanks,
Liang

Liang,

My apologies, I misread.

  *
If you don't have the template area linked in your Microsoft Word, go to M:\asd\asddocs\TravelerTemplates and use TravelerTemplate2023 (when you have time later, use the instructions starting on slide 5 of the Traveler Authorship guide<https://pansophy.jlab.org/pansophy/Documents/TravelerAuthorship2023PDF.pdf> to link to the template area).
  *
>From there, copy the steps and fields from the L2HE travelers into the L2RB travelers, add the links, and put into ready for approvals. Unless there's things we need to change between the projects (besides renaming from L2HE to L2RB), it should be fairly straightforward.
  *
Make sure that any DocuShare references link to L2RB versions, not HE, and any drawings, specifications, and external documents go to their DCG repository versions. That has changed over time, so it's important to make sure they're going to the right place.
  *
Check the approval names and NCR/D3 usernames against the L2RB WCD. If the travelers aren't in there, make a note to Adam to include them in the next revision.

Your last question confuses me a bit. Are you saying that people have been putting L2RB data into the L2HE travelers? If so, that will definitely need to be moved over.

Allen,

I am trying to adapt travelers, not procedure. The three travelers related to the HOM Feedthroughs are: L2HE-INSP-HMFT, L2HE-CMA-HMFT-LEAK, L2HE-VTA-HMFT-CSHK.

The inspection work is starting now, and has a limited time window. I wonder how long it will take to get the travelers ready.

I do notice that the new feedthroughs have the same SN pattern as HE "HEHxxxx" and are available under HE project list. Is it possible to put the inspection data under HE for now and transport to L2RB projects once it is ready?

Thanks,
Liang

Liang,

If the adapted procedure is being used for just L2RB, then we just need to make a project level procedure. Use the SRF-07-FM-005 SRF OPS Procedure Template<https://jlabdoc.jlab.org/docushare/dsweb/View/Collection-59071> to port everything over. Simply copy and paste from one section of the old procedure into the corresponding section of the new template. After that's done and it's been edited to your satisfaction, put it in the ready for approvals folder. I'll review from there and route for approvals.
One final note, you'll need to delete the template approval on the last page. Be careful not to delete the section break or you'll remove the header and footer as well (no one knows why). If this happens accidentally, just hit undo until the break is un-deleted and the header and footer restored.

Hi Allen,

I would like to adapt the L2RB HOM feedthrough inspection traveler from HE travelers. The steps are the same, I think I just need to make sure I am using the latest template and formatting etc. What would be the best way to do it?

Thank you,
Liang
