Good Morning,
I spoke to Larry when we met last week about his CAPAs and we talked the new Calibration Registers in Pansophy. Larry mentioned he wanted time to play around with the new system before training the Cal Custodians on it for consistency and understanding. I understand Megan has a deadline to get this released, but I think for the purposes of programming, her work on the register might be considered done unless Larry requests changes. As Calibration Process Owner, Larry is responsible to review the new system, request any changes changes, conduct training with the Cal Custodians, and communicate the release of the new system when he is ready.
>From my perspective, the new system looks really nice, I hope it helps the custodians maintain their registers more efficiently and accurately. Nice work Megan!
Kind Regards,
- Ashley

Morning,
The Procedure seems to be vague enough to allow for the new register (some screenshots of it below). So I don't think it needs to be updated unless Larry feels it is necessary or the procedure does not match the new register/process. It's his process, so he should make the final call on if a revision is necessary, but I'm okay with it as-is.
We must communicate the changes and train users (cal custodians) on the new register and process before it is released as the official Calibration Register. There was talk of a competency form for Cal Custodians?

Hi everyone!
I have released the new calibration system into Pansophy and loaded all of the most recent calibration registers into it.
Ashley,
Does the Calibration procedure need to be updated before the official release to the people that would use the system (calibration custodians)? Ideally, this system would replace the need for multiple different registers

Critical Calibrations - https://pansophy.jlab.org/pansophy/Facilities/Calibration/CalibrationsX.cfm
Thanks!

Larry,
As discussed, I have put the new Calibration system in Pansophy and have put the registers that are presently available on DocuShare into the database. To access, you can go to Main Menu > Facilities > Calibration. This is the page that shows all instruments (critical and not critical) as well as a view button for more information and the edit option if you are the instrument owner or calibration custodian. OR you can look at Main Menu > Facilities > Critical Calibrations to view info on just the instruments that have been deemed critical with the additional feature of color coding if the calibration is good, coming up on the due date or overdue.
Please take some time to explore the system, familiarize yourself with it, break it, etc. I would like to send this information out to the people that are in the registers as custodians early next week as a "beta" release for them to do the same. Let's say Wednesday?
I have also attached an excel sheet with the Types that I tried my best to decipher.
Thanks!
Megan McDonald
