OK,

Thanks to both of you digging this up! So, my understanding is that we are basically missing a L2RB-INSP-CAV traveler in which these L2 cavities, HE cavities we might receive from FNAL and brand new L2RB can go.

I understood that Aaron submitted that now for approval and hope we can get it through asap.

Hi John,

Megan is correct.  CAVSN 0140 & 0167 only exist in the L2PRD (Closed) and the L2RB projects.  For traceability purposes, these cavities should only be inspected with a L2RB-INSP-CAV traveler, where the serial numbers are available.

You will have to discuss porting the L2HE-INSP-CAV traveler over to L2RB-INSP-CAV requirements.

John,

I do not see L2RB-INSP-CAV in the L2RB project area which could be why he can't find them in the system. There is already an inventory traveler (inventory travelers are the only travelers that Mike and/or Calvin create and use) and they have already opened and closed one for 140 and 167. As far as the CMM/INSP traveler, I suggest looking at the WCD register and to see who is responsible for authoring the traveler and reaching out to them.

In regards to previous data on these cavities, I generated HLDPT travelers in L2PRD that gathered all of the vendor data that went along with the cavity and put them in the traveler. I suggest using the serial number search under production in Pansophy to find this info (MAIN MENU > PRODUCTION > SN SEARCH).

Earl is currently running the J11 cavities CAV0140 and CAV0167 through CMM and can't find them in the system. Could you please create the S/Ns for his CMM traveler/inventory in general?



@Megan McDonald<mailto:megan at jlab.org> I recall that you had some access to the old L2 cavity procurement database/vendor data. Since J11 was build by us (and we bought all the cavities) shouldn't we have 140 and 167 already in the system? Earl said he could not find any earlier documentation. Would you know where to look?
