Thank you for the information. The idea for this traveler (to me) would be outside of that normal scope, or maybe more appropriately in addition to the normal scope. "Traveler" isn't even necessarily the correct word, more of a weld database. My idea would
function as follows:</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">

<div style="font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">
(1) We store weld details (all possible weld parameters) in a single traveler, STP/JLAB-EBW-WELD-Rx.<br>
(2) When welding, Jim/I would input our data into the traveler, with each instance of a weld being a new traveler entry.<br>
(3) We then go to the project-specific traveler and fill it in (which is pretty much always a "Yes we welded this on this day"). In the comments box, we would reference the record number in our database traveler ("See traveler STP/JLAB-EBW-WELD-Rx, entry xxx
for additional information" - I would like to change this to a drop-down box that references the database records, but that can be down the road).<br>
<br>
This allows us to implement the new idea without editing all current EBW travelers. It also gives us a one-stop-shop for all EBW data, which allows us to mine the information more naturally. There are also multiple things that go through the EBW that don't
have any travelers, and don't really gain anything from having their own (I.E. if I make a bead-on-plate weld to test an idea that doesn't have a specific purpose). I would very much like to avoid us having to go to multiple different locations/write new
travelers for everything just to record the information. We already do it in a excel file but I would like to integrate it into pansophy to make better use of the system and make storing of associated files (data acquisition/pictures) simpler.<br>
</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">

<div style="font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">
Please let me know if that makes sense. I understand its not necessarily how pansophy is meant to function but it is the best solution for EBW, in my mind.</div>

<br>
I would like to work on re-integrating our EBW information into Pansophy. It seems after reviewing what information I can find that previous systems were only used sometimes, stored in multiple locations, and generally were more of a step confirmation ("Yes
I welded this") than a way to gather any meaningful data ("I welded this using these parameters, this program, on this material, and this was the result"). For the past few months we have been collecting the data relevant to us in an excel spreadsheet stored
on docushare (<a href="https://jlabdoc.jlab.org/docushare/dsweb/Get/Document-229748/EBW%20Data.xlsx" title="https://jlabdoc.jlab.org/docushare/dsweb/Get/Document-229748/EBW%20Data.xlsx">here</a>). I have an a pretty good idea of how I'd like things to work
moving forward and some features of a general traveler that I'd like to integrate, most of which I've seen in other areas of Pansophy/Primes. If you'd like to setup a meeting to discuss this, please do, otherwise let me know and I can outline my thoughts
via email (I know the team isn't big and it seems like you guys are in every meeting, so I don't want to take up too much of your time).</span></p>
