<html><head></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; ">Hi all,<div><br></div><div>The reports on the fiber array & simulation are:</div><div>1/ Fiber array</div><div>- After rebuilding the array, we noticed that a couple of channels were not working. After more investigation, we completely disassembled the PMT from its base and removed all the connectors: there were a few soldering pieces that were lose in between the g10-board (where the signal cables are plugged in) and the actual PMT pins. Leke re-put everything together and it works perfect.</div><div>- Leke also noticed that a couple of fibers were also broken due to plugging/unplugging the cables. They have already been replaced. The reason is because the PMT holders are not tight too strong on the housing so as not to damage them. Hence there is a little chance for slightly pushing back & force the fibers. Since there is silicon on it, they broke but never got lose. Eric and Leke will write a procedure on how to handle the cabling connections for future reference.</div><div>- The back shielding is done and put together later this morning.</div><div>- Re-testing of the full assembly will be done later this afternoon and the fiber ready to be used downstairs afterwards.</div><div>- Eric and Leke will start focusing on the DAQ from now on (well after they are done with the mechanical aspect).</div><div>- More will be posted on the wiki as well later.</div><div><br></div><div>2/ Simulation</div><div>- I was supposed to get some forms for Eric and Erica for their accounts on the HU cluster but have not pursue this. I'll check today.</div><div>- Joe: I am waiting to get a CAD file. From a few tests that I did ~2 weeks ago, because of a new library the conversion from CAD to Geant4 geometries is very fast and should take a few minutes.</div><div>- I am focusing on writing a mode detail documentation before releasing the next version of G4PEPPo. I expect to have it done by next Wednesday at the latest. </div><div><br></div><div>Paul</div><div><div><div>On Sep 28, 2011, at 8:22 48, Joe Grames wrote:</div><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"><blockquote type="cite"><div>Dear PEPPo Collaborator:<br><br>Neither Eric nor I are available this morning to run the weekly status <br>meeting, so we have cancelled it.
