The new solenoid is operating successfully.<br>
<br>
It was mapped today and will be ready for installation tomorrow. At
the max momentum our spectrometer will allow ~8MeV/c the smallest
achievable focal length will be ~51cm. Our design goal was 50cm.
Roughly speaking ~all those e+ w/ momentum <6.3MeV and reaching
inside the vacuum pipe at the solenoid should be collected through the
exit vacuum window. Promising news for success.<br>

possible!<br>
