Peppo production running ended at noon today and a series of
systematic studies have been taking place since noon. The BPM
pedestal data and final PITA scans were completed first off. This
was followed by an access to install the "E" counter, a large (but
perhaps not large enough) plastic scintillator to measure the energy
of the positron beam. It was discovered that the E counter pulse
height increased with lower beam energy, and then by beam
steering. The present thought is that the positron energy is
100% captured by the scintillator, perhaps due to the average beam
location not quite at the center of the detector.<br>

Never the less, the Fiber Array studies will take place on Owl
shift and if a larger crystal/scintillator can be found during
Monday Day shift the energy measurements will resume. Below is the
status of the "Systematic Studies" plan as of 20:19 this evening.<br>
