I had a meeting with Bob and Chris. They started looking into the layout of the HyCal experiments.
They have a few questions which we need to answer. We'll need to talk about it at tomorrow's meeting.

Subject: PRad II Questions

Hi Eugene,

Here are the questions that we have for PRad II, X17, and TFF.

Thanks,

Bob

GEM detectors

· What size are the GEM detectors, length, width, height?

o Provide a CAD model if possible

· What size is the helium bag?

· What are the GEMS bolted to?

o Hycal detector for calibration?

o Hycal stand?

Prad II

· What is the acceptance in theta, and the location of the target and Hycal along the beam line?

X17

· What is the acceptance in theta, min and max, and the location of the target and Hycal along the beam line?

· Is it beneficial to have the target closer to Hycal and only use the small vacuum tank with a 1 meter diameter window?

· Beam tube connected to the window

o Is this beneficial for X17, or does it cause more background at low angles?

§ Should the beam tube be removed and just have a full size window 0.032” thick

· Is it better to just have a thin window on the helium bag and have the electron beam go through the helium

o If used, should it be smaller to allow more acceptance at lower angles?

TFF

· What is the acceptance in theta, min and max, and the location of the target and Hycal along the beam line?
