Subject: DNP April Meeting Graduate Student Travel Support

*|SUBJECT|* Message to members of the APS Division of Nuclear Physics
Approved by Ben Gibson, DNP Secretary/Treasurer
DNP is pleased to offer a limited number of travel grants to encourage graduate student participation in the APS April Meeting 2017 to be held in Washington, D.C., January 28 through 31, 2017. The APS April Meeting provides an excellent opportunity for graduate students in nuclear physics to present their research, to interact with potential employers, and to hear about advances in a broad range of physics topics.

To promote DNP graduate student participation, the DNP is offering a limited number of travel awards consisting of $400 based upon merit and need. Undergraduate students are not eligible to apply for this award.

In order to be eligible, students must have submitted an abstract through the APS meeting website (deadline: September 30, 2016) and plan to present a talk at the APS April Meeting. They must also complete the application process by Monday, October 25, 2016, including having their research advisor submit a letter of support.

Note: Checks not picked up from the APS registration desk during the APS April Meeting will be forfeited.

For more information and to apply, please visit the DNP website or apply today .
