Dear colleagues:

I am most delighted to share the excellent news that Dr. Weizhi Xiong
(Ph.D. Duke
May 2020), has been selected to receive the American Physical Society’s 2021
Dissertation Award in Hadronic Physics.

The citation on the award certificate is: “For outstanding contributions
to the
proton charge radius experiment, PRad, at
Jefferson Lab, and especially for his analysis of the PRad experimental data
leading to a precise determination of the proton charge radius value.”

I like to thank you (JLab leaders) for your strong support of the PRad
experiment
and PRad colleagues for your support of Weizhi over the years.
