[PRad] [EXTERNAL] Transverse charge density and the radius of the proton

Thank you very much for the message.

There was a paper we did a while ago that showed one can get a large or small radius from the full Mainz data set simply by varying analytic choices made in the fitting: https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevC.102.015205

I was curious if your N=5 function (fit – true) would work with the “small radius” polynomial function found in that work as well as it does with the original Bernauer.   I can send you the numbers if you would like to try it.

Also, could you send me your code for calculating your F1 and F2?    I use Python instead of Mathematica but it is usually straight forward to map one to the other.

And finally, I have added your result to my list of electron scattering proton radius extractions.   For simplicity I have taken your three uncertainties in quadrature.  Of course, at this point CODATA-2014 is out of data as they have shifted to the uH point, but I keep it for reference.
