Subject: Unique funding opportunity to advance fundamental physics with small-scale experiments
Dear Department Chair,

I am pleased to announce a unique opportunity to advance fundamental physics by funding small-scale experiments that explore physics which has typically been pursued at large-scale facilities (e.g., CERN, LIGO). This $20M offering is sponsored by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the John Templeton Foundation, and the Simons Foundation. Please alert researchers at your institution who would like to pursue research along these lines to consider submitting a brief letter of intent prior to our deadline (31 October 2022).

Details of this one-time call are available on our website<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.moore.org/article-detail?newsUrlName=request-for-applications-small-scale-experiments-that-advance-fundamental-physics__;!!OToaGQ!tH4fowMPeeJKRScFIu8q3nE-0co8ohwwZ_6KdDnfmDHidjOHr84qZy_Man0-2frd6Er_RWzH2JxjxNF1NpzIrMPLHVk$>. Thank you for distributing this to faculty at your institution.

With regards,

Theodore Hodapp, Ph. D.
