Greetings All,
Yes, the electronics in 4)c) caught my eye,,
I believe we can accommodate readout for a third GEM, but a decision sooner than later will be very helpful.
Regarding the veto detectors, and I can review the collaboration slides, how many channels will be required for these signals?
Expanding the veto discussion with regards to a 'trigger' is something that we [DAQ] need to capture on the trigger requirement list.
There was mention also about running the DAQ for PRADII in streaming mode, where all channels are readout out in a continuous fashion
based on a fixed synchronous time window. The Streaming ReadOut topic would require further discussion/decisions, and we can add this to
a near future meeting or in a WG focus discussion.
Regards,
-Chris

Hi Dipangkar,
Yes, I forgot to list this item too, thanks.
4) the GEM efficiency high accuracy measurement using the so-called
third GEM.
As we discussed on Monday, this item is not fully clear to me. My
question
was, and still is, what is the accuracy of these measurements using
the GEM1,
GEM2 and HyCal (plus the target vertex, we even have 12C foil in the
target cell)?
Nilanga, Weizhi, Chao and who wants to contribute in this part,
please come up
with your arguments on this part.
My approach is that if we even will end up needing the third GEM
then there are
several open item on this way: (a) the size of the third GEM; (b) we
still will
need to attach and survey it better than 1 mm (better than HyCal is
providing it);
(c) the electronics ...
Please prepare for the Friday's discussion.
