Dear collaborators,
The experiment startup is approaching. Most of the installation and preparation work will be in Hall B.
I would like to remind you of the important safety training requirements.
We all need to read and understand the Physics Division Work Governance (SAF116kd)
You have to do Rad Worker I training, which includes SAF801C, SAF801T, SAAF801P, and general access RWP (SAF801kd)
You also need ODH training (SAF103). Some of the work in the hall may require the use of ladders, so you need ladder safety training (SAF307)
If you will be switching electrical equipment on or off, you must complete at least the basic electrical safety training (ESC001).
Finally, to be able to enter Hall B without an escort, you must complete Hall B safety awareness training (SAF111). It includes a web-based pre-brief followed by the guided walkthrough.
All of you who will be taking shifts during the experiment must complete all of this training.
Some of you have already done it before. Please check the training status and make sure it is up to date.
I am planning to have one of the walkthrough sessions sometime next week.
Those who have not done the walkthrough before, please contact me.
Happy New Year to all of you.
-Eugene
