It was kind of a rough day yesterday, but had at least decent hours during OWL.

Yesterday MCC had trouble delivering beam to our hall because of FFB problems. It seems to have started when a cryo module in 2L20 had to be bypassed, and it so happened to be that our FFB system used that module.
Then, it seems that whenever our FFB was turned on, it would often cause an FSD in Hall D. They checked the dispersion in the 1H region, and so they adjusted 1C12.

Once MCC called to tell shift crew they were ready to send 150 uA beam to our Hall, we performed the usual beam restore procedures. Checked spot size and found them adequate. But raster image at 0.5 uA 2x2 on Carbon Hole initially indicated that the raster may have changed. Looking through MyaPlot's history, we saw that the quads may have changed on their own (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3780974). Cycling them did not seem to change things. Ultimately, we decided to go back to production running. Kent pointed out that there is a better method of checking for the proper raster size (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3781054), which is to use the larger 4x4 raster to see the Carbon hole first.

At the moment the injector group is setting up for vertical polarization. This should take a few hours. Until then, we should be sure to be prepared to to be as efficient as possible on our side once beam returns to our hall.
