Review of the minutes of the last meeting

   We looked at the [8]minutes from the July 17 meeting.
     * Pawel  will  contact Alexander Korchin to request a calculation of
       pair  production differential in electron and positron energy. Dan
       D.  mentioned that Alexander was not able to comply with a similar
       request  a  few  years  back.  He  also  said  that the single-arm
       measurement was in good shape and ready to publish.
     * Compton  Result  Review  was  held  as  scheduled.  [9]Minutes are
       available.
     * Dmitry's  will  present  his  HyCal study results later in today's
       meeting.
     * Ilya  presented  more  on  his  p^0 analysis at the Compton Result
       Review.


Announcements

   Pawel  announced  that  Subhash  Khanal  passed  received his Master's
   degree  from  NCA&T. His [11]thesis is posted on the [12]PrimEx Theses
   directory.

HyCal Results

   Dmitry  let  us  through  a  [set of plots] that will form the staring
   point  for a paper on the HyCal. The analysis used snake scan data. He
   showed:
     * Energy resolution as a function of energy
     * Energy resolution as a function of position
     * Linearity of the energy response
     * Results of the coordinate correction
     * Correlation  between  position  measurements using time-in-run vs.
       position from cluster reconstruction
     * Coordinate resolution as a function of energy
     * Coordinate resolution as a function of position

   Most  of  these  were  presented  for the crystals, the glass, and the
   transition region.

   For  the  coordinate  resolution analysis, the effect of the spread of
   photon  beam  itself  is  deconvolved  so  that the intrinsic position
   resolution  of  HyCal  can  be  extracted.  This  leads  to  a  0.1 mm
   systematic  uncertainty  in the position resolution due to uncertainty
   in the photon beam profile.

   Mischa Kubantsev is interested in working on a draft of a HyCal paper.

   Ashot asked whether it would be appropriate to include the photon veto
   in this paper. This should be discussed further.

Other Items

     * We speculat4ed about the status of the luminosity paper. Mark will
       schedule a discussion at a future meeting.
     * mark will add Victor to the PrimEx mailing list.
