[Primexd] [EXTERNAL] Re: BCAL calibration status

We need your inputs to answer the question of Zizis (see below). Basically why do we need BCAL calibrated ie all pi0 and eta at the correct mass +/- 1 %(?) and for all momenta(?) and for all
PrimEX-D phase I physics runs?

Hello Igal et al:

yes, work is being done: jobs are running on the calibration and MC studies are also being carried out.  While we wait for those, this is a good time to get "organized".

In our group, we are not sure of what the objectives and priorities are for the Primex runs, particularly as they pertain to the BCAL

Igal, can you or Sasha, perhaps make a few slides or write a one-pager, explaining those objectives?  It would be good if there were timelines (of what you are trying to extract from the data) or the tasks listed in order of priority.  We could then go over those at this Thursday's Calorimetry meeting.

The reason we ask for this is that the Regina crew has other tasks on their plates and we should optimize our collective operations.  In parallel, Karthik and Varun are studying to take their Ph.D. Comprehensive exams in May.
