Run Coordinator report for 8/31 - 9/7 follows
Regards,
Stuart (Former RC)

We were scheduled for 160 hours of CW beam, of which 118.4 hours (74%) was delivered to Hall D. Of this, we used 111.2 hours (ABU), or 69.5% of the scheduled beamtime. Around three hours of our unused beam were due to HV scans of the FCAL, with a further two hours lost one evening restoring the DAQ after one such scan. The remaining unused beam was due to our normal program of DAQ hiccups between runs, as well as reconfigurations for DAQ and trigger studies necessary for running on the helium target, which was being installed at the end of my tenure as RC.

We have now collected 49% of our expected data for the PrimEx run as a whole, versus 63% of the schedule. If the machine continues to maintain an efficiency greater than the expected 50%, we will do very well in the remaining beamtime to close that gap.

Detector performance was very good overall, with the usual program of FCAL base replacements, and an issue with one of the cables on the start counter knocking out three of the paddles.

Beam parameters were excellent, with the active collimator returning to normal reliability after last week's access. Some minor beam interruptions were experienced as a result of a turbo pump failure in the south linac, as well as injector problems when re-establishing beam to Hall B, but otherwise beam was very reliable.

Thanks again for having me as a special guest RC. With the conclusion of this report I return to my regular duties in CLAS with the University of York, but we promise not to be strangers through our continuing collaboration on the KLF experiment. Stay safe on the stairs.
