Dear All,
As we discussed at the primex meeting on Friday, I made a google document that we can use for reviewing the Compton analysis. I made the document public so that anyone with the link can edit the document (note: only the google doc is public, the analysis note draft on overleaf is still private. Please let me know if you want permissions to edit that as well). I have no experience setting up this kind of review, so please let me know if you have any ideas on how to improve the format of the document/review process.
I mentioned that there were a few sections of the analysis note that still need to be filled in, and I included a brief description of those remaining sections on the first page of the document. Admittedly, I have been procrastinating on finishing those sections, but they shouldn't take long to finish, and I will prioritize them during this coming week.
Also, I think we have changed our plans for the scope of the Compton publication since I started writing this note (or perhaps we just further clarified it). I initially intended this note to cover the analysis of both the Be target and He target data from phase I only. However, as you know there has been some confusion recently on the correct calibration of the tagger energy scales for the He target data due to the fact that the beam energy was changed from 11.6 GeV to 11.2 GeV mid-run. Because of this, the results for the He target data are not included in the note. All of the tables and graphs currently in the analysis note are for the Be target data. I think this is okay for the internal review process, though, as the methods and analysis are consistent across both data sets.
Finally, I posted the link to the google document at the top of the primex wiki page (https://halldweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/Eta_Decay_Width_Measurements_via_Primakoff_Effect) in case you want to easily access it without having to go through your email inbox to search for the link.
