Thank you, Ashot, for your short description. At 0.1 degree, the bulk of the events are within the He4 dimension (3.36 fm).

tks ig.

   Hi Igal and All,

As we discussed last week and decided to have a short description
physics
picture for the Primakoff process (others are similar too) I am
itemizing
my statements regarding specifically for the Primakoff part.

  1) The so-called Primakoff process is a fusion of a beam photon and one
of
the photon from the nuclear field (the distribution of virtual
photons
around the nuclei is well known in QED.
  2) Since we know the production angle: typically 0.1 degree, calculate
the
momentum of the photon that picked up during this process.
  3) calculate the wavelength of this photon using either the de
Broigle's (check the
spelling) formula (labda = hach/momenta) or the uncertainty
principle.
  4) once you have the wavelength compere that with the radius of the
nuclei (He4).
  5) the quantum picture of physics (the scaling concept) will tell that
a photon
with a few times of the nuclei will see the target as one-hole
object.

That is basically it, the rest is more painful simulations using
lengthy
  formulas.
